COUNSELING & PSYCHIATRIC SERVICES (CAPS)
CAPS provides training opportunities for psychology interns and practicum students in clinical psychology, counseling psychology, and social work. These interns and practicum students practice under the supervision of a licensed clinician.
Tricia Coghlan, LCSW

Tricia Coghlan is a licensed clinical social worker who joined the CAPS staff in 2010. Ms. Coghlan earned a BS in Sociology from Georgia Southern University and a MSW from University of Georgia. She is a generalist practitioner specializing in treating adjustment, eating disorders and body image, LGBTQ+ issues and trauma (sexual, emotional, physical, and religious). Ms. Coghlan is certified in Religious Trauma Studies. She works collaboratively with students who wish to integrate their faith/spirituality in a way that aligns with their values. Ms. Coghlan practices from a trauma-informed perspective.
