Stevie Stigler, LPC, NCC is a board-certified Licensed Professional Counselor who joined CAPS in 2013. Her education and professional background give her a unique and effective approach to counseling. She works to provide clients with tailored treatment plans that can be integrated into their daily lives and has experience treating children, adolescents, and adults from diverse backgrounds with a variety of concerns.

Stevie has training in integrative, cognitive-behavioral, and mindfulness therapies. Her clinical interests include stress management, depression, adjustment disorders, anxiety, interpersonal relationship skills, self-esteem, LGBTQ+, career development, life planning, and cultural diversity. Her approach to counseling is compassionate and non-judgmental, creating an environment where clients feel supported and empowered.

Stevie serves as the embedded therapist at the College of Veterinary Medicine, focusing exclusively on the mental health and well-being of veterinary students while maintaining her affiliation with CAPS and the Health Center. She serves as Coordinator of CAPS-Vet Med Counseling Services and has helped develop the counseling program within the College of Veterinary Medicine, working alongside her colleague embedded at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital to build the culturally responsive program it is today. She is passionate about supporting professional students through evidence-based, student-centered counseling and initiatives that promote resilience, mental health, and overall well-being.


In addition to her license, she holds a premier certification as a board-certified member of the National Board of Certified Counselors and is a member of the Licensed Professional Counselors Association of Georgia.
