Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
706-542-2273
Susan is a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 30 years of experience in psychiatry. She received her MSN from Vanderbilt University and Post-Master’s Certificate from Georgia College & State University. She has worked in a variety of settings from inpatient psychiatric units to outpatient psychiatric clinics and has also spent many years teaching psychiatric nursing as adjunct faculty in different nursing programs. Though she has treated patients across the lifespan, she has spent the last 20 years working with the child/adolescent/young adult population.
Personal motto: I’m allowed to be a work in progress. I use that in my work with others as well. I believe everyone has value and worth, and it is a privilege to be able to walk alongside others as they work to find that value within themselves.
Outside of work: I enjoy gardening, volunteering and writing children’s books based on my 2 very spoiled and emotional French bulldogs.
